Dearborn's War Dead

Of the many men and women who left Dearborn to fight in America's wars, 346 men and 1 woman were killed in action.

"These service members have given their lives and their futures. They left their homes and their families to go to war in far-off lands, some with patriotic fervor, and some with reluctant apprehension.  None would live past the age of 45," said Lisa A. Lark, author of "Gone Too Soon.  Dearborn Remembers Its Fallen Heroes."

The interactive map below shows the homes throughout the city where these heroes lived.

Notes on interface with Google Maps:  When you click on the "View in Google Maps" link, it will direct you to the street view of the veteran's house.  Please note that some houses may no longer exist or that the house numbering system may have changed.  In those cases, Google Maps will direct you to a site nearby.  Also, Google Maps may sometimes open a view of a neighboring house accidentally.  If the "View in Google Maps" link does not open, that is due to an incompatibility with the browser settings on your device and Google Maps.
